4.3 Station Features and Operation

Background Music (BGM)

You can hear background music through the built-in speaker of your PT. An external
music source, such as a radio, must be connected. The music stops whenever a call
comes in or when you go off-hook.
Setting / Canceling

When the handset is on the cradle and the SP-PHONE button is off;

Press BGM (S3).

When the handset is on the cradle and the SP-PHONE/MONITOR button is off;
• The display shows either one of the following for five seconds
depending on whether BGM is on or off:

Conditions
• Turning on/off
PT
You can turn on/off the BGM only when your PT is not in use.
• Distinctive Dial Tone
Distinctive Dial Tone is sent to the user on the extension with this feature when the
extension user goes off-hook.
