Receiving a Document Automatically:
AUTO RX Mode
After you take your unit out of the box and set it up, it is set to receive
documents automatically. Use automatic receiving for a unit on a
dedicated telephone line that you do not need for telephone voice
communication.
Setting AUTO RX Mode
When the unit is in AUTO RX mode:
The unit assumes all incoming calls are from fax units sending
documents. If it receives a voice call, it does not ring to let you know,
even if a telephone is connected to the unit.
Set the unit to AUTO RX mode as follows:
1.
Make sure the unit is set up to receive over a dedicated fax line.
2.
Press FAX to switch to fax mode.

Open all three one-touch speed dialling panels.
4.
Press Receive Mode until AUTO RX is displayed.
