Setting Up Your Unit as a Relay Unit

In this section we will show you how to set up and manage a relay
network with the standard relay features provided on your unit.
Before you set up your unit to relay documents sent to you from the
originator fax unit, confirm the following points:
Make sure your unit fax/telephone number is correctly registered.
(1 p. 2-24)
Make sure the fax number of the originator fax unit is registered on
your unit for speed dialling. (1 p. 3-2)
After your unit receives a document from the originator, it will relay
the document to one or several destination units. Make sure the fax
numbers of all the destination units are registered on your unit for
speed dialling. (1 p. 3-2)
Ask the originator if they would like to receive a report of successful
transmission after your unit relays the document.
Make sure the relay feature on your unit is turned on.
Follow the procedures in this section to create a relay group so that your
unit is set up as the relay unit. When your unit is the relay unit, it
receives the document from the originator and relays it to several other
destinations.
Be sure to contact the originator and inform them of the subaddress
and password you will be setting.
