Switching Between Fax and Copy Modes
Follow the procedures below to switch between fax and copy modes.
Switching to Copy Mode
To use the copy functions, press the COPY button to light its lamp.

When the unit is in copy mode, the display below appears.

Even when your unit is in copy mode, it can still receive documents.
While copying, you cannot switch to fax mode. To switch to fax mode
from copy mode, stop copying by pressing the Stop button or wait
until the copying is complete, then switch to fax mode. (1 p. 2-10)
When the unit is switched to copy mode via the Copy button or
returned to copy mode via the autoclear function, all the copy
settings, such as contrast and number of copies, return to their
default settings. The default settings can also be changed.

The unit is set to enter fax mode when the power is turned on.
However, the default mode can be changed so that copy mode is
automatically selected when the power is turned on. (1 p. 14-52)
