Receiving a Document Manually with an Extension
Telephone
In MANUAL RX Mode, if you connect a telephone to your unit and place
it away from the unit (on your desk, for example), you can use the
telephone to receive normal telephone calls and also to activate your unit
to start receiving a document. This is called remote receiving.
Follow the procedure below to activate reception of a document from
your telephone.
n
Before you use this feature, you must connect a telephone to the unit.
(1 Chapter 2 of the Copier User's Guide)
1.
Make sure you have selected MANUAL RX for the receive mode.
(1 p. 5-7)
2.
If you hear the telephone ring, pick up the handset.
3.
If you hear a slow beep, this means someone is trying to send you
a document. Dial 25 (remote receiving ID) on your telephone and
hang up.
n
You can change the number for the remote receiving ID (00 to 99), turn
the feature off, or set the unit to start receiving by just hanging up the
handset. (1 p. 5-10)
Chapter 5
The unit starts receiving the document.
If you have set the unit to receive by hanging up, after hearing
a slow-beep tone, hang up the handset.
