1 . R e m o v e t h e V T E C s o l e n o i d v a l v e a s s e m b l y f r o m
t h e c y l i n d e r h e a d . a n d c h e c k t h e V T E C s o l e n o i d
valve filter for clogging.

lf there is clogging, replace the engine oilfilter and
engine oil.

12 N.m (1.2 kgf.m, B,7 tbf.ftl
lf the filter is not clogged. push the VTEC solenoid
valve with your finger and check its movemenr.

lf the VTEC solenoid valve is normal, check the
engine oil pressure.

Manual Inspection
1. Set the No. 1 piston at TDC.
2.
Remove the ignition wire cover and the wires.
3. Remove the ignition clamps while pulling up on the
Iock.
