8. Slide the electronics bay toward the rear of the server about six inches (Figure 45, A).
9. Insert the AC power bracket through the opening in the side of the electronics bay and let it hang
down (Figure 45, B).
10. Position the power cable along the chassis ledge, out of the way of electronics bay movement
(Figure 45, C).
11. Slide the electronics bay out of the main chassis.

Installing the Electronics Bay

To install the electronics bay in the server chassis.
1. Position the power cable along the chassis ledge with the AC power bracket hanging down and
out of the way.
2. Insert the electronics bay into the rear of the server and slide it about six inches into the server
chassis.
3. Position the AC power bracket inside the electronics bay.
4. Slide the electronics bay all of the way into the main chassis. The server chassis tabs should now
be engaged with the corresponding slots in the bottom of the electronics bay.
5. Install the four screws that attach the electronics bay to the server chassis.
6. At the baseboard, connect the power cables that go to the power supply bay.
7. Connect all power and data cables to the hot-swap drive bay and the peripheral bay devices.
Carefully route all power and data cables, placing them on the floor of the fan bay.
8. Install the fan assembly.
