Back-up the information for customer's file property on system. This back-up is absolutely
needed for system restoration at change of board from maintenance. However there are the
possible information, the impossible information, and the unnecessary information on Back-
up. After exchange, the information which is not able to back up will be initialized. Therefore,
surely, please check it before exchange and restore after exchange manually.
* the back-up possible information
>the product information on FRU (Model name, NEC manufacturing code, Field
Revision, serial number of system unit, etc...)
>the chassis frame information on FRU (the NEC part number for chassis frame)
>the contents of BIOS setting
>the contents of BMC/RomPilot
* the back-up impossible information
>the contents of SCSI BIOS setting
>the setting contents for any optional boards
* the back-up unnecessary information
>the board information on FRU (NEC part numbers, Compatibility Revision, serial
number, etc...)
>the MAC address for onboard LAN
The starting up from each utilities
Enable starting up the utility of the following installed to the maintenance partition from
NEC EXPRESSBUILDER.
* System management function
* System diagnosis
* Setting maintenance partition
