NOTE: Only the first T640 router that you integrate with the TX Matrix router
can be operational. Additional T640 routers you integrate must be offline.
During the integration of an operational T640 router with the TX Matrix router, the T640
router continues to pass traffic until it is rebooted. The traffic interruption during the
reboot is comparable to the interruption that occurs during a Junos OS major upgrade.
NOTE: During the conversion and connection of the switching planes, the
T640 router might experience some packet loss, depending on the operational
environment. For more information, contact your customer support
representative.
To convert and connect a switching plane of an operational T640 router:
Verify that the fiber-optic array cables have been routed between the TX Matrix router

and the T640 router.
