Remove the dust cover from the fiber-optic array cable connector that connects to

. To remove the dust cover, loosen the thumbscrew and captive screw on

the connector. (Use the supplied small slotted screwdriver to loosen the captive
screw.) Temporarily store the dust cover in a dust-free resealable plastic bag.
WARNING: Do not look directly into a fiber-optic array adapter or a
connector at the end of a fiber-optic array cable attached to an adapter.
The fiber optics emit laser light that can damage your eyes.
Align the loopback adapter with the cable connector, and carefully press it into the

connector until it stops. The loopback adapter and the cable connector are keyed to
ensure proper mating.
NOTE: The optics in a fiber-optic array cable connector are spring loaded,
so you must continue to apply force to the loopback adapter while securing
it to the cable connector.
Using a 2.5-mm ball hex driver, at least 4 in. long, partially tighten the upper and lower

hex screws on the loopback adapter. Alternate between the upper and lower hex
screws until the loopback adapter is secured to the fiber-optic array cable connector.
Enable the TX-SIB adapter receivers.

Disable the TX-SIB adapter receivers.
