fault condition exists.

displays, the asterisk (*)
rotates.
The Complex
Programmable Logic
Device (CPLD) on the
controller board is not
programmed. The EC
cannot read the version
bits in the CPLD which
tell the EC which
configuration version is
installed.
The printer cannot find
the data controller
program or the validation
checksum is corrupt.
Solution
1. Cycle Power. Run the print
job again. If the message
appears, load the latest
emulation software.
2. Cycle power. Run the print

appears, record the display
message and send it to your
next higher support facility.
