3.3 Safety devices

The lifting device has the following safety devices :
•
A vacuum pressure gauge shows the current negative pressure in the vacuum
manifold.
•
Visual warning device
: A red warning light (26)
flashes on both sides of the lifting device if the minimum vacuum is not reached.
The suctioned load must not be lifted.
If the warning lights flash when the load is being lifted, the load must be set
down immediately.
•
A vacuum accumulator with non-return valve maintains the vacuum for at least
five minutes in the event of a power failure (> see section on Intended use) (for
suction-tight loads).
•
The load safety chain prevents the load from dropping if the vacuum generation
fails.
