8 Troubleshooting
Malfunction
Warning device triggers.
Warning device does not trig-
ger when the alarm threshold is
reached.
Warning device triggers even
though no load is being drawn
in or the vacuum generator is
not in operation.
The vacuum generation does
not work.
The automatic switch-off of the
vacuum pump does not work.

Cause
Location higher than 1,600 m
above sea level.
Load has cracks, recesses or
is too permeable to air.
Sealing lip of the suction plate
is damaged.
Hose or screw connections are
leaking.
Vacuum switch is misaligned or
defective.
The alarm threshold is ad-
justed.
Vacuum switch is misaligned or
defective.
Vacuum system is leaking.
The main switch is not set to 1.
The fuse is defective.
The battery is discharged.
The electrical power supply is
interrupted.
The vacuum generation is de-
fective.
Leakage in the suction system.
Remedy
 Observe the maximum
height of the installation
site.
Handling the load is not permit-
ted with this lifting device.
 Replace sealing lip.
 Seal or replace compo-
nents.
 Contact Probst Service.
 Have the alarm threshold
reset by Probst Service.
 Contact Probst Service.
 Seal or replace compo-
nents.
 Set the main switch to 1.
 Check the fuse and replace
if necessary.
 Charge or replace the bat-
tery.
 Check the wiring.
 Check the vacuum genera-
tion and contact Probst
Service if necessary.
 Check the suction system
for leaks and repair if ne-
cessary.
