2 Basic safety instructions

2.5 Danger zone

People who are in the danger zone of the lifting device can sustain life-threatening injuries.
Ensure that there are no persons in the danger zone.
To prevent the load from shearing off, ensure that there are no collisions with the
surroundings.
The danger zone of the lifting device includes the following areas:
The area directly under the lifting device and the load.
The immediate vicinity of the lifting device and the load.
The working range of the carrier device used.

2.6 Residual risks

Danger from the vacuum generator:
CAUTION
Depending on the purity of the ambient air , the exhaust air may contain particles
that escape from the exhaust air opening at high speed.
Injuries to the eye!

2.7 Ambient and operating conditions

CAUTION
Hazardous* aerosols, dusts, vapors, gases or solvents in the ambient air
Risk of injury from the load falling due to damage to vacuum-carrying components (vacuum gene-
rator, vacuum supply hoses, suction cups, etc.)!
Risk of respiratory problems due to hazardous substances sucked in and distributed by the va-
cuum generator.
 *) Examples of hazardous substances: acids, alkalis, conductive dusts, flammable media,

Do not look into the exhaust air flow.
Wear safety goggles.
Before starting work, ensure that the ambient air drawn in does not contain any ha-
zardous substances.
Ensure that there are no hazardous substances on the load that could be sucked in.
