10 Decommissioning and disposal
10.1 Security
The lifting device may only be taken out of service and prepared for disposal by qualified personnel.
10.2 Taking the lifting device out of operation
1. Switch off the main switch (22).
2. Park the lifting device safely.
3. In the event of a defect, clearly mark the lifting device.
4. Remove the battery (> see chapter Replacing the battery) and store in a dry, frost-free and well-ventilated
place.
5. Remove the lifting device from the hoist.
6. Dismantle the suction plates.
7. If necessary, pull protective covers over all suction plates.
8. Store the lifting device without damaging it and secure it against unauthorized use.
10.3 Disposing of the lifting device
1. Take the lifting device out of operation.
2. Loosen the hose clamps and pull off the vacuum hoses.
3. Dismantle and dispose of the vacuum generator in accordance with the separate operating instructions.
4. Dismantle and dispose of the charger.
5. Remove the battery and dispose of it in accordance with the following instructions.
For proper disposal, please contact a disposal company for technical goods with the instruction to
observe the disposal and environmental regulations applicable at that time.
NOTE
The battery contains a water-polluting liquid

10.4 Disposal instructions for the battery
See operating instructions or battery data sheet in the appendix.

Return used batteries to a collection point.
Do not dispose of used batteries with the residual waste.
Transport the batteries upright, tilt-proof and short-circuit-proof.
Transport damaged batteries in a suitable container.
