VLAN Commands

Command Function
vlan database Enters the VLAN Configuration mode.
vlan Use the vlan VLAN Configuration mode command to create a
VLAN. To delete a VLAN, use the no form of this command.
default-vlan vlan Creates a VLAN.
interface vlan Enters the Interface Configuration (VLAN) mode.
interface range vlan Enables simultaneously configuring multiple VLANs.
name Adds a name to a VLAN. To remove the VLAN name, use the no
form of this command.
map protocol Maps a protocol to a group of protocols.

switchport general Maps a protocol to a group of protocols.

switchport mode Configures the VLAN membership mode of a port. To return to the
default configuration, use the no form of this command.
switchport access Configures the VLAN ID when the interface is in access mode. To
vlan return to the default configuration, use the no form of this
command.
switchport trunk Adds or removes VLANs to or from a trunk port.
allowed vlan
switchport trunk Defines the native VLAN when the interface is in trunk mode. To
native vlan return to the default configuration, use the no form of this
command.
switchport general Adds or removes VLANs from a general port.

switchport general Configures the PVID when the interface is in general mode. To
pvid return to the default configuration, use the no form of this
command.
switchport general Disables port ingress filtering. To return to the default
ingress-filtering configuration, use the no form of this command.

switchport general Discards untagged frames at ingress. To return to the default
acceptable-frame-ty configuration, use the no form of this command.
pe tagged-only
switchport forbidden Forbids adding specific VLANs to a port. To return to the default
vlan configuration, use the remove parameter for this command.
map mac Maps a MAC address or range of MAC addresses to a group of
macs-group MAC addresses
