Syntax
port security mode {lock | mac-addresses}
no port security mode
Parameters
• lock — Saves the current dynamic MAC addresses associated with the port
and disables learning, relearning and aging.
• mac-addresses — Deletes the current dynamic MAC addresses
associated with the port and learns up to the maximum number addresses
allowed on the port. Relearning and aging are enabled.
Default Setting
This setting is disabled.

Interface Configuration (Ethernet, port-channel) mode
Command Usage
There are no user guidelines for this command.
Example
In this example, port security mode is set to dynamic for Ethernet interface 1/e7.
Console(config)# interface ethernet 1/e7
Console(config-if)# port security mac-addresses

The port security max Interface Configuration (Ethernet, port-channel) mode
command configures the maximum number of addresses that can be learned on the
port while the port is in port security mode. To return to the default configuration, use
the no form of this command.
Syntax
port security max max-addr
no port security max
Parameters
• max-addr— Maximum number of addresses that can be learned by the
port. (Range: 1-128)
Default Setting
The default is 1 address.
