INTERBUS

7 INTERBUS

INTERBUS is standardized in the EN 50 254 as a fieldbus. Its architecture is

that of a data ring with a central bus master and bus slaves.

The INTERBUS differentiates among several sub-variants, two fieldbus vari-

ants of which should be mentioned for the decentralized periphery:

• Remote bus

• Installation remote bus

• 1 master, max. 512 slaves

• Ring structure with active slave coupling

• max. bus segment length 400 m

• max. extension

• Transmission rate 500 kBaud

• With each new start, the master produces an updated list of the slaves con-
