Feed Error Alarm (Medium Priority)

LED Pump Alarm Indicator Lights: Blinking Yellow
The FEED ERROR screen appears when the feed bag is empty or there is a
clog, kink or excessive foam/bubbles in the tubing between the feed bag
and the pump.
Detection of this alarm condition may take up to 40 minutes to occur
at 1 mL/hr.
Detection of this alarm condition may take up to 5 minutes to occur at flow
rates greater than 50 mL/hr.
Sound Intensity of Alarm: minimum 45 dBA at 1 meter
A. If the enteral fluids bag is empty, refill bag as necessary.
B. Press Continue and prime the pump to prepare for next feeding.
WARNING: Patient must not be connected to Kangaroo OMNI™ Enteral
Feeding Pump when priming is performed.
C. If alarm continues, replace Kangaroo OMNI™ Feeding Set.
OR
A. If the bag still contains feeding solution, check the bag and tubing for
air bubbles or blockages.
B. Press Continue and prime the pump to move the air bubbles
or blockage through the tube. Disconnect patient from tubing
before priming.
