Appendix B - Explanation of Alarms
Cassette Dislodged Alarm
Sensor Input: Magnetic Sensor
Kangaroo OMNI™ Enteral Feeding Pump will alarm for Cassette Dislodged when a low voltage level is received
from the magnetic sensor.
Valve Error
Sensor Input: Motor Encoder Signal
Kangaroo OMNI™ Enteral Feeding Pump will alarm for Valve Error when the motor encoder signal indicates
the valve shaft is not positioned correctly.
Sensor Error (1) Information Signal
Sensor Input: Upstream Ultrasonic Sensor Voltage
Kangaroo OMNI™ Enteral Feeding Pump will alarm for Sensor Error (1) if the voltage levels from the upstream
ultrasonic sensors are not within the normal operating range.
Sensor Error (2 or 3) Information Signal
Sensor Input: Force Sensor Voltage
Kangaroo OMNI™ Enteral Feeding Pump will alarm for Sensor Error (2 or 3) if the voltage levels from the force
sensor is not within the normal operating range.
Cassette Error Information Signal
Sensor Input: Motor Current
Kangaroo OMNI™ Enteral Feeding Pump will alarm for Cassette Error when the rotor motor current variation is
below a set minimum level while Kangaroo OMNI™ is running.
Dead Battery Error Information Signal
Sensor Input: Battery Voltage
Kangaroo OMNI™ Enteral Feeding Pump will alarm when the battery voltage reaches a set minimum level.
