Evidence of the CMV requirements being met takes the form of a measurement in the entire system following
installation during operation with the power electronics connected. The CMV measurement may only be performed by
electrically qualified persons in compliance with the safety rules and in cooperation with Service. You must therefore
contact Service to make an appointment if SMA Commercial Storage Solution storage systems with more than four
Sunny Tripower Storage X inverters are to be commissioned.

Setting Option for Address and Terminator

Up to four battery cabinets can be connected to one inverter. In systems with more than one battery cabinet, the
address and terminator must be set on the battery management system of each battery cabinet.
Set the address of the battery management system using the two ADDRESS rotary switches and the terminator using
the TERM slider.

Defaults for Addresses and Terminators

This sections contains the defaults for addresses and terminators for a system with one inverter and two to four battery
cabinets. For systems with more than one inverter, the same defaults apply for each inverter.
The defaults for address and terminator on each battery cabinet are based on the following system variants:
• System with one primary battery cabinet and one secondary battery cabinet
• System with one primary battery cabinet and two secondary battery cabinets
• System with one primary battery cabinet and three secondary battery cabinets
