Connecting the battery communication system to the inverter

Optionally, the battery communication system can be routed to the inverter via the supplied switch. This simplifies the
connection of a service PC to the battery monitoring software BatMon, for example.
Procedure:
1. Plug in one connector of the communication cable from the supplied DC connector set at the LAN connection on
the battery management system. In systems with more than one battery cabinet, always use the battery
management system in the primary battery cabinet.
2. Plug in the other connector of the communication cable at the BAT ETH connection on the inverter.

Connecting the CAN Communication System

An inverter can have up to four battery cabinets connected to it. For systems with more than one battery cabinet, the
battery management systems of the individual battery cabinets must be connected to each other via a CAN
communication bus.
Procedure:
1. Plug the first connector of a communication cable from the supplied accessory kit of the DC distributor on the
battery management system of the primary battery cabinet into the CAN OUT socket.
2. Plug the second connector of this communication cable on the battery management system of the first secondary
battery cabinet into the CAN IN socket.
3. If there is a second secondary battery cabinet, plug the first connector of a further communication cable from the
supplied accessory kit of the DC distributor on the battery management system of the first secondary battery
cabinet into the CAN OUT socket.
