13 Cleaning and Maintenance
• The BatMon software must be installed on this end device.
Procedure:
1. Disconnect the inverter from voltage sources (see Section 11.1, page 119).
2. Disconnect the battery from voltage sources (see Section 11.2, page 121).
3. Check and resecure all connectors in the battery cabinet.
4. Check that all screwed electrical connections have been tightened with the correct torque.
5. If any connections are not tightened with the correct torque, tighten with a suitable torque wrench.
6. Check the state of charge (SoC), state of health (SoH), cell voltages, and temperatures of the battery modules for
irregularities. Use the BatMon software for this.
7. If you find any irregularities, contact Service.
8. In the BatMon software, open the Battery and Cell pages for each battery module and document the content of
these pages as a screenshot.
9. Archive all screenshots together with the event messages as a PDF.

Performing a Visual Inspection of the Battery

1. Check that the supplied battery cabinet type label and the supplied battery room label are correctly affixed.
2. Check that the ambient conditions of the battery still meet the climatic requirements. Consult the data recorded by
the temperature and humidity sensor for this.
3. If the ambient conditions of the battery do not meet the climatic requirements, decommission the system and
contact Service for a more detailed examination of the system. Find and eliminate the causes of the deviation in
the ambient conditions.
4. Check for any visible signs of moisture around the battery.
5. If there are visible signs of moisture around the battery, decommission the system and contact Service for a more
detailed examination of the system. Find and eliminate the causes of the moisture.
6. Check for any changes to the network.
7. Check that all electrical safety devices (e.g., AC miniature circuit breaker, circuit breaker in the DC distributor, and
external switches in the battery cabinet doors) are intact.
8. If an electrical safety device is defective, find and eliminate the causes of the defect. Contact Service, if required.
9. Check for any conversions to or around the system.
10. Check that the system is working in accordance with the system operator's expectations.
11. Document all inspection results.
12. Remove dirt or dust deposits with a dry cloth.
