• The DC cables must be equipped with suitable terminal lugs for DC connection in the inverter. The DC cables in
the inverter are equipped with terminal lugs made of tinned copper.

Electrical Connection Procedure

This section describes the procedure for the electrical connection of the product. It provides an overview of the steps,
which must be performed in the prescribed sequence.
Procedure
1.
Ensure that the requirements for the electrical connection
are fulfilled.
2.
Ground the battery cabinet.
3.
Connect the battery communication system within the bat-
tery cabinet.
4.
Connect the DC cables within the battery cabinet.
5.
Route the DC cables to the inverter or DC distributor in
the battery cabinet.
6.
Connect the external switch to the battery cabinet.
7.
Connect the AC cables to the inverter.
8.
Connect the network cables to the inverter.
9.
Connect the battery communication cables to the inverter. Section 8.6.5, page 71
10.
Connect the DC cables to the inverter. Record the device
type and serial number of the inverter in the commission-
ing report.
11.
In systems with more than one battery cabinet: Connect
the DC cables to the DC distributor. Record the device
type and serial number of the DC distributor in the com-
missioning report.
12.
Connect the DC cables to the inverter or DC distributor in
the battery cabinet.
13.
Connect the battery communication system to the in-
verter.
14.
In systems with more than one battery cabinet: Connect
the CAN communication system.
15.
In systems with more than one battery cabinet: Set the
address and terminator on the battery management sys-
tem.
16.
Connect the energy meter.
17.
Optional: Connect the SMA Data Manager.
