Remove the dipstick.

Make sure that the oil level is between the maximum (1) and minimum (2) indicators (Figure 10-6, Page 10-12).

If the oil level is below the minimum indicator, add engine oil.

Install the dipstick.
NOTE: Make sure that the arrow points towards the engine.
ENGINE OIL REPLACEMENT
CAUTION
• Hot engine oil will cause skin burns. Do not change the engine oil when the engine is hot. Let the
engine temperature decrease before the oil is changed.
CAUTION
• Too much engine oil can decrease engine performance and damage the engine. Do not exceed the
recommended engine oil capacity.
Before the engine oil is replaced:
• Disable the vehicle.
• Disconnect the battery.
To replace the engine oil:

Remove the dipstick (1) (Figure 10-7, Page 10-13).
