Please note the following cautionary messages, and then proceed to the steps for unpacking.

1. Before opening, inspect the received package(s) for external shipping damage.
2. Remove the calibrator from its shipping carton.
3. Open the lid and check for damage inside.

CAUTION – AVOID WARRANTY INVALIDATION
Printed circuit assemblies (PCAs) are sensitive to electro-static
discharges too small to be felt by the human nervous system.
Failure to use Electro-Static Discharge (ESD) protection when
working with electronic assemblies will void the instrument
warranty. Refer to the manual, Fundamentals of ESD, PN 04786,
which can be downloaded from our website at:
http://www.teledyne-api.com.
CAUTION – AVOID DAMAGE TO THE INSTRUMENT
BEFORE operating instrument, remove dust plugs from pneumatic
ports.
Ensure that there is adequate support for the calibrator's weight.
NEVER allow instrument to run with the case closed – keep lid open
to vent while operating, and ensure that the cooling fan/vents are not
blocked; the vents are provided by a grill around the sides, visible
when the case is open.
NEVER attempt to lift the calibrator by the interior handles attached
to the control/display and input panel.
WARNING – ELECTRICAL SHOCK HAZARD
Never disconnect or reconnect electronic circuit boards, wiring
harnesses or electronic subassemblies while the unit is under
power.
CAUTION – AVOID PERSONAL INJURY
Depending on configuration the calibrator can weigh between ~37
and 47 lbs (16.8 - 21.3 kg). To avoid personal injury, we
recommend using two persons and proper lift and carry
techniques to move/relocate the calibrator.
Although this product is portable, it must be properly packaged
any time it ships for any reason; store the original shipping
containers/materials for such use. If the calibrator does need
servicing, refer to the Warranty page in this manual, page vi.
If damaged, please advise the shipper first, then Teledyne API.
