Overview
The NX-series EtherNet/IP Units can send a CIP message to an external device to request a service
by specifying an internal object of the device which supports the server function of CIP message com-
munications.
This is called the client function of CIP message communications.
The NX-series EtherNet/IP Units execute CIP communications instructions in the user program and
send CIP messages.

Sends a specified CIP command to the specified remote
Controller on the CIP network.

10-5 CIP Object Services on page 10-28 for informa-
tion on the service codes and response codes that are
used with the NJ/NX-series CPU Units.
