To install a thin sample such as a film, lift the accessory cover and slide the sample into any of
the narrow slots. Normally a slot at or near the beam focus is used. The beam focus is at the
center of the sample compartment as indicated by the arrows on the sample compartment
housing.
The wide slot provides clearance for certain slide-mounted accessories.
