The software stores important settings, serial numbers and installation dates. Update any
corresponding setting, serial number or installation date after replacing components in your
spectrometer.
 To check or update the instrument information
1. Choose Collect (menu) > Advanced Diagnostics. The Diagnostics screen appears.
Verify that all components are working properly. (If a component malfunctions, a red
slash mark appears over the corresponding icon on this screen. See
contact us for assistance.)
2. Click the Installation icon. An information screen appears.
Update any pertinent information, enter today's date and choose Save.
