Backup Battery, Microphone
Removing the Backup Battery, Microphone
To remove the T4700CS/T4700CT/T4800CT's backup battery and microphone, follow the
steps below and refer to figures 4-9 through 4-12.
1.
Turn off the power to the T4700CS/T4700CT/T4800CT. Disconnect the AC
adapter, power cord and all external cables connected to the T4700CS/T4700CT/
T4800CT.
2.
Remove the battery pack, optional memory card, optional PCMCIA card,, HDD
pack, and top cover as described in sections 4.2, 4.3, 4.4, 4.5, and 4.6.
3.
Remove the tape, securing the backup battery.
4.
Disconnect the backup battery cable from PJ* of the upper system board.
5.
Lift up the microphone little, then disconnect the microphone cable from PJ* of
the upper system board.
