Hard Disk Drive
Removing the Hard Disk Drive
To remove the T4700CS/T4700CT/T4800CT's hard disk drive, follow the steps below and
refer to figures 4-7 through 4-10.
1.
Turn off the power to the T4700CS/T4700CT/T4800CT. Disconnect the AC
adapter, power cord and all external cables connected to the T4700CS/T4700CT/
T4800CT.
2.
Remove the battery pack as described in section 4.2.
3.
Turn the computer upside down.
4.
Remove the M2.5x4 silver screw, securing the HDD pack slot cover, at the
bottom of the computer (figure 4-7).
5.
Slightly lift up the side of the HDD pack slot cover that was secured by the screw.
A latch holds the other side to the computer (figure 4-7).
6.
Slide the cover to disengage the latch and lift off the cover. You will see the HDD
pack (figure 4-7).
