Top Cover
Removing the Top Cover
To remove the T4700CS/T4700CT/T4800CT's top cover, follow the steps below and refer to
figures 4-11 to 4-13.
1.
Turn off the power to the T4700CS/T4700CT/T4800CT. Disconnect the AC
adapter, power cord and all external cables connected to the T4700CS/T4700CT/
T4800CT.
2.
Remove the battery pack, optional memory card, optional PCMCIA cards and
HDD pack as described in sections 4.2, 4.3, 4.4 and 4.5.
3.
Turn the computer upside down and remove three M2.5x30 screws securing the
top cover of the T4700CS/T4700CT/T4800CT and one M2.5x12 screw (figure 4-
11).

Turn the T4700CS/T4700CT/T4800CT right side up so that the back of the
computer faces you. Remove four M2.5x6 silver screws, securing the top cover
at the back of the T4700CS/T4700CT/T4800CT (figure 4-12).
