8. Install a 2.5"x8 backplane to both Drive Bay 1 (Left) and Drive Bay 3 (Right).
Align and place the backplane hey holes over the alignment pins on the drive bay (see Letter A).

Push down on the backplane until fully seated within the tabs on the chassis base plate (see Letter B).

• Using the one screw, secure the backplane to the drive bay (see Letter C).
Route new cables as necessary (see

Attach cables to the backplanes.

• Reinstall the system fan assembly (see
9. Remove the drive bay filler plates from Drive Bay 1 (Left) and Drive Bay 3 (Right).
• Remove the two screws from the top side of the drive bay (see Letter A).
Pull the filler plate out of the chassis (see Letter B).

Repeat these steps for the filler plate.
