Positioning Arrays

Optimizing Array Visibility
The system recognizes a reference array by the geometrical arrangement of its marker spheres.
The angle for best detection of the array is perpendicular to the plane through the centers of all
marker spheres in the array. Take this into account when attaching a reference array to the patient
or adjusting its angle to the camera.
No.
Final Preparation Before Registration
Tightly screw marker spheres by hand onto the attachment pins of the reference array.
During Use
Check regularly that the marker spheres remain tightly screwed onto the pins.
A new registration is required if the patient was repositioned after registration.
Warning
Do not move a reference array relative to the patient's anatomy during the procedure.
Changing the array's position throws off the entire measurement coordinate system,
endangering the patient.
Warning
To avoid unintentional movement of the reference array, do not place pressure on it.
