Achtung!
Anzuformende Teile und jene, die direkt mit der Haut in Berührung kommen, können bei
Gebrauch der Orthese an einer weiteren Person funktio nale bzw. hygienische Risiken
verursachen.
Funktionale Risiken bestehen z. B.:
• Bei der Ausbildung von Materialrissen (die bei unbeschädigtem Lack visuell nicht erkennbar
sind)
• bei Materialermüdung durch Wechselbeanspruchung und
• durch die Abnahme der Bruchdehnung (Kaltverfestigung) bei mehrfacher Kaltverformung.
Die Anwendungsdauer bzw. Tragedauer der Orthese richtet sich nach der medizinischen Indi-
kation.
13 Haftung
Der Hersteller haftet nur, wenn das Produkt unter den vorgegebenen Bedingungen und zu den
vorgegebenen Zwecken eingesetzt wird. Der Hersteller empfiehlt, das Produkt sachgemäß zu
handhaben und entsprechend der Anleitung zu pflegen.
14 CE-Konformität
Das Produkt erfüllt die Anforderungen der Richtlinie 93 / 42 / EWG für Medizinprodukte. Aufgrund
der Klassifizierungskriterien für Medizinprodukte nach Anhang IX der Richtlinie wurde das Produkt
in die Klasse I eingestuft. Die Konformitätserklärung wurde deshalb von Otto Bock in alleiniger
Verantwortung gemäß Anhang VII der Richtlinie erstellt.
1 Application
The 50R20 Dorso Osteo Care Spinal Orthosis is to be exclusively used for orthotic fitting of the
trunk and is designed for the contact with the intact skin only.
2 Indication and Effects
The 50R20 Dorso Osteo Care Orthosis is indicated for osteoporotic changes in the lumbar and
thoracic areas of the spine and follow-up treatment of the osteoporotic vertebral body fractures.
The Dorso Osteo Care orthosis can be employed during the stages of osteoporosis in which muscle
action can be used and increased. The indication must be diagnosed by the physician.
The upper body is raised into an upright position by retracting the shoulder girdle and abdomen.
This effect is achieved by setting straps and adjustable back plate. Thoracic and abdominal
breathing are not restricted and the back muscles are activated.
3 Size Selection
The orthosis is available in two sizes and the size selection is based on the trunk length.
