Assigning the names to setpoints
The setpoint parameter NAME allows you to assign names to setpoints.
NAME can be set to the SPNAME number 0,1,2,...9, as shown above.
The NAME parameter defaults to "NONE", meaning that no name is
assigned to the setpoint.
The setting can be changed in the SETUP menu, or you can use the
NAME serial command via the EDP port. An example of assigning
names to setpoints is given as follows:
Suppose you define the following names —
SPNAME#0=CORN
SPNAME#1=PEAS
SPNAME#2=CARROTS
SPNAME#3=BEANS
Then, you assign these names to setpoints —
SETPOINT=1
NAME=1
SETPOINT=2
NAME=3
When you press the SET POINT key to access setpoint #1, the indica-
tor will read "PEAS". When you press the SET POINT key to access
setpoint #3, the indicator will read "BEANS".
