Authentication Type: The drop-down list includes the following options:

Acceptance of terms and conditions: The user will be required to accept agreement's terms and
conditions.

On-line enrollment supported: The network supports on line enrollment. Higher layer protocols
may indicate to the user that accounts may be created.

http/https redirection: The network infrastructure performs http/https redirect.
»
DNS redirection: The network supports DNS redirection. Higher layer software will exchange
credentials with the network.
Redirect URL: Applicable only if the selected Authentication Type is http/https redirect. The URL to
which the user will be redirected for authentication.

Venue Configuration
The Venue Configuration section provides optional general information about the hotspot. Venue
Configuration elements can and should be provided in several human languages when the hotspot is
located in a country having more than one national language (e.g., Switzerland) or, for example, in
locations having a lot of international travelers (e.g., airports). The mobile device will choose from the
provided human languages the best choice to display to the user.
The Venue Configuration section includes the following parameters for each entry:
Name: The name of the venue.
Encoding: A drop-down list of languages, allowing to identify the language used for defining the
venue's Name. The default is English.
