Connect the null modem serial cable from the laptop to the COMM1

connector on one of the codecs.
From the Start menu on the laptop, select Programs, select Polycom

Telepresence Tool, and then select HDX Soft Remote.
From the pull-down box at the top left of the HDX Soft Remote, select the

laptop COM port that is connected to the Primary codec. Note that this
guide uses Primary, Secondary, Left, and Right to describe the codecs.
For ATX SDK, the codecs are typically described as Master and Slaves;
however, only the terms Primary, Secondary, Left, and Right are used in
this guide.
A second box appears to the right of the first box on the HDX Soft Remote.
Select 9600 as the baud rate and click Go.

Once the laptop is connected, the boxes will turn gray and the text on the
Go button will change to Stop.
