Integration Overview

Polycom, Inc.
Polycom offers two distinct ATX software solutions:
The Polycom ATX SDK version 3.0.3 enables AV integrators to add more
value to ATX 200, ATX 300, and ATX 400-based systems by allowing the
integrators to support the unique requirements of their customers. The
ATX SDK works in conjunction with special control panel code (provided
by the control panel vendor), which enables AV integrators to customize
the user interface to the specific needs of their customers.
The Polycom ATX SDK system supports Telepresence Interoperability
Protocol (TIP) and Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) features based on
integrator implementation.
The addition of a SoundStructure C-series device (available with both the
ATX 300 and the ATX SDK) enables an integrator to extend the capabilities
of the ATX SDK system with additional microphones and more audio
processing capabilities. Note that ATX SDK systems with SoundStructure
cannot use Telepresence Interoperability Protocol (TIP). For additional
information about SoundStructure, refer to the Integrating Polycom
SoundStructure with the ATX and ATX SDK Immersive Telepresence Systems
Application Note.
The Polycom ATX 300 version 3.0.3 provides a user interface with the
same feature set as the standard Polycom Immersive Telepresence
software, including either the Polycom Touch Control or the Crestron
Touch Panel.
With the Crestron Touch Panel, users can select either the Enhanced or the
Classic user interface. The Classic user interface maintains the look and
feel of the ATX version 2.0 user interface, but does not include the features
introduced with version 2.6. Note that a 10-inch Touch Panel is required
for the Enhanced user interface.
Telepresence Interoperability Protocol (TIP) and Session Initiation
Protocol (SIP) features are not supported with the Crestron Touch Panel.
The Polycom Touch Control is required for TIP and SIP support.
For additional information regarding the differences between the ATX SDK
and the ATX 300 systems, refer to the Polycom Architected Telepresence
Experience ATX/ATX SDK Technical Specifications.
