4.3 Break-in Period

NOTE: Until you become familiar with the sound and feel of your new header, be extra alert and attentive.
After attaching the header to the windrower for the first time, follow these steps:
1. Operate the machine with reel drapers and knife running slowly for five minutes, watching and listening FROM
THE OPERATOR'S SEAT for binding or interfering parts.
NOTE: Reel and side drapers will NOT operate until oil flow fills the lines.
2. Perform the items specified. Refer tosection
CAUTION
Before investigating an unusual sound or attempting to correct a problem, shut off engine and
remove key.
