6.6.6 Spare Knife

A spare knife may be stored in the header frame tube at
the left end. Ensure knife is secured in place.

6.6.7 Knife Guards

Check DAILY that guards are aligned to obtain proper shear cut between knife section and guard. Knife sections
should contact shear surface of each guard.

Adjusting Knife Guards

To adjust knife guards, follow these steps. The guard
straightening tool (MD #140135) is available from your
MacDon Dealer.
1. To adjust guard tips upward, position tool as shown,
and pull up.
