What is Web Manager?

With the Web Manager interface, no special software other than a standard Internet Web browser (Internet
Explorer, etc.) is required to use a computer to connect directly to, and make various settings in, a copier
with the CAD Master Controller installed.

NOTES
• Due to compatibility issues, it is recommended that you use Internet Explorer 4.0 or later for your
Internet Web browser.
• The Internet Explorer component "Java VM" (Virtual Machine) must be installed in your Internet
Explorer Web browser.
• In order to use the Web Manager interface, the copier must be connected to the same network
environment as the computer.
Required settings in the Internet Explorer Web browser
In order to use the Web Manager interface, the Java setting must be enabled and the Proxy Server setting
disabled as shown in the following procedure.

Be sure to restart Internet Explorer after you change the settings.
Enabling the Java setting
1 In Internet Explorer, select [Internet Options...] under the [Tools] menu and then click on the
[Advanced] Tab.
2 Put a check mark in the checkbox for [JIT compiler for virtual machine enabled (requires restart)]
under [Microsoft VM].
