[Sample Depth] field: Select the level of grayscale. Selection is possible between "B/W", "B/W (halftone)",
"Grayscale (STD)" and "Grayscale (HQ)".
[Mir.] checkbox: Put a check mark in this checkbox when you want to take a mirror-image scan of your
document where the left and right sides are reversed.
[Neg.] checkbox: Put a check mark in this checkbox when you want to take a negative scan (such as with
negative film where black and white is reversed).
[Number of Sheet] radio buttons: Select the number of documents to be scanned. Selection is possible
between "Single" and "Multi". Select "Multi" when you want to scan more than one document in a
single operation.
[Timeout] field: This setting determines the amount of time that should elapse before the copier-scanner is
automatically taken out of the "scan ready" state if scanning is not carried out while the copier-
scanner is in that waiting state.
Setting is possible to any one minute increment between 1 and 10 minutes.
[Status] field: Indicates the state of the connection to the copier-scanner as well as the status of the
scanning procedure.
[Scan] button: Click on this button when you want to send the scan command and initiate the scanning
operation.
[Rescan] button: Click on this button when you want to display for a second time scanned data that is
already saved on your hard disk. If there is no such data available for display, this button will be
grayed out (not clickable).
