WARNING !
Devices mounted on extended arms on the left
or right side of the machine can cause tip
over.
CAUTION !
Do not use anesthetic gas scavenging sytem in
combination with extracorporal oxygenator.
Precautions During Operation
WARNING !
Always use an anesthesia system that has
been cleaned and disinfected and has been
successfully tested to be ready for operation.
WARNING !
Always follow accepted hospital procedures
for handling body fluids.
WARNING !
Absorbent is caustic and is a strong irritant to
the eyes, skin, and respiratory tract. When
emptying or filling absorber, take care not to
spill its contents.
WARNING !
Do not perform leak test while a patient is
connected to the anesthesia workstation.
WARNING !
Devices connected to the auxiliary outlets will
not be powered by the uninterruptible power
supply in the event of a power failure.
WARNING !
Manual ventilation is not possible when Julian
is in standby mode!

Monitoring Precautions
WARNING !
Warning or Caution level audible alarms
require immediate operator attention to avert
or to prevent development of situations with
the possibility of patient injury.
WARNING !
The alarm silence button is intended to provide
a way of muting audible alarms while corrective
action is taken. Failure to identify and correct
alarm situations may result in patient injury.
WARNING !
Always set audible alarm volume to a level
that is sufficiently loud with respect to the
general noise level of the surroundings.
WARNING !
The operator is responsible for manual
selection of the anesthetic agent and for
correct filling of the anesthetic vaporizer!
