Checks of Readiness for Operation

Checking the System Against the Checklist
Preconditions:
The workstation must be prepared as described on
pages 33 to 36 and assembled ready for operation as
described on pages 29 to 32 and 116 to 117.
The gas supply and power supply must be connected.
Switch on Julian: press the power switch »
After approximately 10 seconds, the opening screen
appears displaying the current software version.
Julian now:
– loads its internal software
– checks the internal memory and the CPUs
– tests the communication bus system
– tests the two-channel safety system
(Master-Supervisor System)
– checks the speakers.
The checklist is displayed after approximately
40 seconds.
Check the components as instructed in the on-screen
checklist.
If the self test has to be interrupted, e.g. for a quick
start in an emergency:
Confirm checklist. After a few seconds, the
»cancel test« key appears on the screen.
Press »cancel test« key. See "Emergency Start" on
page 44 to continue.
NOTE: Check system against check list and perform
automatic self test daily.
