Leak Test

Leak Test
WARNING !
Do not perform leak test while a patient is
connected to the anesthesia workstation.
– When the soda lime has been changed
or
– when the breathing hoses or breathing system has
been changed.
– if the Vapor has been changed or topped up
test with the handwheel set to »0« and
test with the handwheel set to less than 0.2% by vol.
After the leak test, turn handwheel to »0«.
1 Close the Y-piece = place firmly on the cone.
2 Ensure that the sample line is not connected to the
patient circuit.
3 If necessary, seal the sample-line connector with
a luer-lock cap.
Press the softkey »leakage« in standby mode.
Julian performs the leak test for CMV/PCV and
determines the volume correction for system
compliance, duration approx. 30 seconds.
The breathing bag and its hose are not included in the
test.
Display:
When the test has been completed successfully, the
clock symbol disappears and the values for leakage
and system compliance are displayed.
The results of the leak test are also displayed on the
data screen page.
To return to the Standby screen:
Press dial knob.
