At the End of Each Anesthesia Case

To switch Julian to standby:
E
Press Standby key
knob.
The functions of the workstation are switched off.
Current alarm limits are cancelled and default settings
for anesthetic gas delivery, ventilation parameters,
and for alarm limits are restored.
Alarms that had been disabled in the configuration
menu will be enabled again (HLM off, CO
SpO
alarm on).

If the patient breathing circuit has been changed:
Perform a leak test, page 58.

Changing Absorber Charge

– If 2/3 of the soda lime charge has turned purple.
– If the inspiratory CO
concentration FiCO

5 mmHg or more (FiCO
– If the absorber contains liquid and draining becomes
necessary.
WARNING !
Absorbent is caustic and is a strong irritant to
the eyes, skin, and respiratory tract. When
emptying or filling absorber, take care not to
spill its contents.

Press the Standby key
the dial knob.
1 Raise the writing top.
2 Pull the catch and slide breathing system out at the
same time.
3 Turn the absorber counterclockwise and pull it out
downwards.
Drain the used soda lime and dispose of together
with domestic waste.
Fill the absorber with fresh soda lime up to the MAX
mark.
Install the absorber to the breathing system from
below and turn it clockwise as far as it will go.
Push the breathing system inwards until it clicks into
place.
Fold down the writing top.
