MCO25plus Operating Instructions
Notice:
At a constant energy density, thermal tissue stress decreases with increasing
scanning speed.
HANDPIECE
Available options: 127-mm scanner handpiece, 200-mm scanner handpiece
To avoid confusion or misuse, the scanner handpieces are color-coded. As the connection
threads are different as well, this works as an additional safety measure, thus preventing
the user from inadvertently connecting a normal handpiece to the scanner. Note that both
the size of the scanning area (or pattern) and the beam spot diameter are different for
different scanner handpieces, depending on the focal length of the handpiece selected.
HANDPIECE OPTIONS
The selection of available handpieces can be extended by integrating the MINIPOINT and/or
MICROPOINT micromanipulators – which offer a whole range of focal lengths – into the
"HANDPIECE" options menu. This can be done during initial laser installation or anytime at
a later date (by the Technical Service). The micromanipulators allow the scanning of
patterns (incl. lines) with the following diameters (or lengths, respectively):
Pattern
Triangle
Square
Rectangle
Hexagon
Circle
Ring, thick
Ring, thin
Line, straight
Line, curved
