Notice: No energy density per unit area is indicated for line scans. Since these
types of scanning pattern are used for surgical cutting, their energy density is
always high (as indicated by "HIGH" in the corresponding field).

Notice: The most important parameter for the laser's tissue impact is energy
density. Changing the size of the scanning pattern has no influence on the
selected energy density! In other words, the tissue impact of the laser beam
remains exactly the same when you select a different pattern size.
SCANNING SPEED
Selectable values:
All speeds are below the thermal relaxation time of the tissue (which is 0.7 ms). The
scanning speed doubles from "low" to "medium", and again from "medium" to "high". The
higher the scanning speed, the lower is the thermal impact on the tissue.
