Frequency Mode
This basic setting allows pulse parameter selection by entering pulse length and pulse rate
(pulse frequency) values.
4.9.3
Operating Mode Selection
To select among "Time Mode" and "Frequency Mode" (or change over from one to the other),
simultaneously press the "standby" button when switching on the unit with the keylock switch
and hold it down until the following menu items are shown on the display unit:

FREQ SETUP
Now use the arrow buttons to move the star-type cursor to the preferred item, then press the
"SELECT" button for confirmation. The usual initial screen (as it appears when the system is
started with the keylock switch) will now be displayed. For further operating instructions, refer
to section 5.

Language Options
The user can select among the following interactive languages: GERMAN, ENGLISH, FRENCH,
SPANISH and ITALIAN.
4.10.1
Selecting a Language
When turning on the unit with the keylock switch, press the "SELECT" button and hold it down
until the language options are listed up on the display. Use the arrow keys to highlight the
language of your choice with the cursor, then press "SELECT" again. This causes the laser to
restart its software program, thereby changing the operator interface to the selected language.
For the purposes of this user manual, the ENGLISH language has been selected.
4.11
Functional Checks
The tests described below must be carried out by the Technical Service as part of the system
checkout required after installing the unit. They can be repeated from time to time by
experienced users who wish to verify that the laser system and its optical components are still
in a good working condition. Moreover, these tests and their results represent an important
reference source of information for the laser service technician.
